A custom domain replaces snipvio.com with your own brand in every link you share.

Branded links get clicked more, because people can see who they are trusting before they tap.
Use a subdomain, not your root domain
Connect something like go.yourbrand.com or link.yourbrand.com. Do not point your root domain at Snipvio: that is where your actual website lives, and redirecting it would take your site down.
Setup
- Go to Dashboard → Custom Domains and add your subdomain
- At your DNS provider, create one record:

- Press Check DNS
The status flips from Pending DNS to Live once the record resolves. DNS usually propagates in a few minutes, occasionally up to an hour.
Only your links work on your domain
Once verified, go.yourbrand.com serves links from your account only. If someone else tries to use a code from a different account on your domain, they get a not-found page.
This matters: without that restriction, anyone could attach a phishing destination to your brand's domain simply by sharing their own short code on it.

Removing a domain
Disconnecting stops links resolving on that host immediately. The links themselves survive and still work on snipvio.com, so nothing is lost permanently.
