Create your account
Snipvio requires an account before you can create links. This keeps spam and phishing off the platform, and it means every link you make is saved to your dashboard rather than lost.
Sign up with an email and password, or use Continue with Google. The free plan needs no credit card.
Shorten your first link
From your dashboard, paste any http or https URL into the box at the top and press Shorten. You get back a link like:
snipvio.com/x7Kp2
That link is live immediately. Share it anywhere: social posts, emails, print, SMS.
What happens on every click
When someone opens your short link, Snipvio does four things in a few milliseconds:
- Looks up where the link points
- Classifies the visitor as a human or a bot
- Records the country, device type, and referring site
- Sends the visitor onward to the destination
The visitor never waits for the logging. Analytics are written after the redirect is already on its way.
Your links never expire
This is a promise, not a limitation of the current plan. Free-plan links work forever. If you upgrade and later cancel, every link you already created keeps redirecting. You can lose the ability to create new links, but you never lose what you built.
That matters because short links end up printed on flyers, packaging, and business cards. A shortener that kills old links destroys trust permanently.
